Place: Silkeborg, Denmark
Housing: House in two levels built in concrete and stone. The garage is built in connection with the house. The garden behind the house is situated so you get a view through the house and over the lake. The house is 240 m2.
Here live: A family of 4 (two kids a girl and a boy). They do not want their names mentioned.
Information: The family dreamed of this house for a long time and after seeing the place they could see the possibilities in it that no one else had seen before. They contacted the architect and they started working on it. The materials are concrete high ceilings and levels, separate rooms for the kids and the grown ups but with a room to get together in. This ended up being the kitchen with big windows and fireplace that you also can enjoy from living room. They have decided that they will never leave the house and therefore it had it create just as they dream of. The architect Søren Johan Groed is a young architect who worked for the architect company Arkitema and he has been working very closely with the family in creating the house of their dreams.
