Christmas is a time for relaxing
For the Bahne family the busiest time of the year is right before Christmas. "For us, Christmas starts on the first Sunday of Advent. That is when we take out the Christmas decorations and get started. When the girls were younger we always had the Christmas tree lit with strings of lights in the beginning of December, but now the girls are older and it gives the opportunity to try out new trends. Therefore, the light chain and classic Christmas tree is now replaced with a very modern tree in jar. And the large amounts of ornaments have had to give way in favor of selected Christmas ornaments from Rosendahl and Daisy.
Love for detail
Christmas starts early and lasts a long time in Dea´s home. She sometimes leave the decorations until Easter. The home has large open spaces, but with lots of attention to detail and fine Christmas decorations.
Christmas for two
The newly wed couple Vibeke and Allan enjoy their first Christmas together. They live 6 months a year in this old fishermen’s cottage in Gilleleje and the other 6 months in South Africa. They enjoy coming to Denmark in December and celebrate a traditional Christmas. The couple is very busy all year but they set a different pace in December where they spend the time decorating and baking.
Thomas Graebe
The house is designed and built by architect Thomas Graebe for him and his family. They had to live in the basement for the first year while they were building the ground floor. It was a cold winter with rain and snow – indoor! The house with it´s curved shape is now finished and it has a beautiful view over the harbor and sea.
Dea Simonsen
Dea has decorated the home using simple materials such as fabric, paper, cardboard, labels and printing on a label machine. There are five food recipes in the text.
