Faithful to the English style
The house was designed after the English style as a sort of "town-houses" with high basement with kitchen and rooms for servants, and an exterior staircase leading to ground floor. When the famliy moved in they wanted to renovate the house with respect for the original architecture but make it more functional for a modern life. They have a med a large Kitchen/common room of 75m in the lower floor and this is where the family spend most time.
Gentleman´s studies
Frederik has live in the apartment for 12 years and has decorated the home with a combination of antiques and modern furniture and this created a unique look together with the nature materials like wood and leather. Frederik thinks it is important to have a home that is relaxed and with clean lines.
Pernille´s transformed apartment
Many years ago Pernille inherited an apartment but it was rented by a woman and when she died after many years Pernille moved in. But it was in very poor condition and it needed a good deal of renovation. A wall was removed and created space for a kitchen and dining room in one in the middle of the apartment and a new bathroom was created in the old kitchen.
Nature moves indoor
Light, air and high ceilings are the three main ingredients in Tinas home decorations where birch branches, antlers and beach stones are used as a simple and effective decoration. “I have always lived with very little furniture. I have a few heirlooms that have been with me for a lifetime. And otherwise, I believe that if things are not being used anymore, it has to go” Everything is kept in light or earth-colored shades, wooden floors with a white shade and the walls are painted white. One wall in the kitchen and one in the bedroom are painted gray. Tina has mixed the colors herself.
Winter in Tyrol
This is a guesthouse with 5 double rooms owned by the Dane Merete. Through generations Meretes family have been on holidays in St. Anton and through her knowledge of the local people she heard two years ago that the place was for sale. She was then able to fulfill her dream about owning a chalet. While her dream unfolds, she devotes herself to the guests of Haus Draxl, who will benefit from her culinary talents, ability to organize and not least to create the unique setting for a stay beyond the usual. 6 food recipes.
