”Den grønne butik” (The Green Shop) is famous in the ”green area” north of Copenhagen, and customers travel from far away to visit Jørgen who has a large selection of organic vegetables. On top of the shop Jørgens wife Merete decorated their apartment with colors and a personal style. And they are busy chefs which the many kitchens reveal. ”A healthy life and organic vegetables is the center in our home”, Merete laughs, while she shows us the charming and rustic apartment with many French industrial classics such as Tolix-chairs and Jieldé-lamps.
Bjorn Stiler – Munkerup
The couple bought the house 20 years ago. The house needed a lot of work because and Bjorn started removing all the floor covering and painted the walls using his mom´s old recipe for painting: mixing wall paint with wood chips which gives a rustic look. They have rebuilt the house a little at a time over the years and they have done most of the work them selves. They made the garden smaller by planting trees and bushes along the fence around the garden to create their own little private heaven.
Villa Else
Henriette designed the rebuilding of the house herself. They added a building (30m2) along the original one and changed the flat roofs. The new building is by recycling materials. Recipe for plum jam.
