Germination
Before the winter is gone, you can start to put the first seeds in the ground, but it's still too cold to go ahead with sowing in the garden. Fortunately, there are some plants that need to get an early start so we can enjoy their beautiful blooms over a long period and therefore we need to sow the seeds indoors. The seeds we sow in small pots of plastic or paper mulch, and when the little sprouts have reached our size, it is time to separate them, so each plant gets enough space so it can grow and develop. My hideaway
The small five-sided hut in the garden is the place Bente and her husband retires after busy days. The hut was originally built as a playhouse for the kids but was later rebuilt. "The hut is the place we like best because here is peace and it allows us to get away from our company, located in our house." Bente has for years lived in Tanzania with his family, and her fascination with the African culture and the simple lifestyle that is reflected in the cabin layout and function.
Pernilles pavilion
Tucked away in the bottom of the old garden is a tea pavilion and invite you to quiet moments in the green scenery. "Here, time stands still - it's my very own hideaway where I can recharge after a long day's work, "says Pernille.
