Creative designer apartment
Wicki and Richard had to think in new ways when the family grew from 3 to 4 people and needed more space and bedrooms. They bought a room from the next door apartment and had it built into their own apartment and this was the beginning of rearranging of rooms.
Inspired by hotels
Privately, he has just finished the design of his and his boyfriend's house and with an eye for the building's original architectural style they have renovated it from cellar to attic. The furniture and the style is inspired from exclusive hotels that the couple has seen and stayed in, and they are not afraid to use dramatic effects as dark wallpaper and walls, large lamps and spectacular colors in the home. The furniture is a mix of classic Danish design and modern objects as they purchased abroad on trips.
Nina found happiness in Limone Piemonte
The couple have decorated the apartment in a simple stylish and still bright and harmonic style.. "When we saw the apartment the first time we loved for the view and the light. But we could see that there was much work ahead. "First and foremost, all floors, walls, ceilings and all woodwork had to be fixed"says Mario,"and then we had to make a new bathroom and new kitchen in the old bedroom". They work well as a team: Nina is the one with the ideas and Mario can carry them out".
Minimalism with a feminine touch
It took more than half a year from the craftsmen started to renovate Mari-Anne´s house until she could move in. Seen from the outside the house looks no different from the other houses in the settlement. But inside there is a world of difference between the original version from the 1950s and the newly renovated house overlooking the sea. Several walls have been torn down or moved to create one large, bright kitchen and one large, bright master bedroom. At one point, only the outer walls remained, and a series of iron bars prevented the roof from collapsing.
Global chic
Comfort, informality and personality are the key words for the interior style of the ninth floor of the ultra-modern building. A year ago Helge and Marlene sat on a bench at the harbor in Odense and looked up at the new building and decided that they would never live in such a place. "But we loved the place first time we were in the apartment. The light and the view were the main reasons that we immediately decided to move in" says Marlene.
