Between collections, vip customers and fashion shows designer Signe renovates the apartment. With her own hands she has added the old rooms plenty of nostalgia and Parisian charm so it matches her own image of an open and personal home. “When I entered the apartment the first time I felt at home right away. The mood is slightly like Paris where I have lived and I love the high-ceilinged rooms and the original old look as I have tried to preserve because it is impossible to recreate. I started to renovate the kitchen because it was practical with 2 kids in everyday life and has just finished my own bedroom. It is an ongoing process".
Graffiti in the living room
A beautiful black panther painted on the wall is the first thing you see when you walk in to Christina and Frederiks apartment. "I just felt like painting on the walls at home too," says Frederik. You will see graffiti and art on the walls many places in the apartment some are painted directly on the wall and some are on frames. It is an open kitchen and a high table separates the rooms. Elements made of larch wood are beautiful combination to the exposed beams and give the room character. The kitchen is built in the Swedish cottage style and brings warmth to the otherwise very modern style.
Maria Helgstrand
They moved the kitchen into the center of the apartment, the living room has been divided into two by a wall so it creates a place for a bedroom for the parents. All the wooden floors has been painted white. Maria finds the inspiration for the interior decoration by reading a lot of magazines, walking in the street, shops, furniture fairs and movies.
Maya Bjornsten
Maya loves the rough look and also transfers this into her house with raw walls, heavy beams and tiles on the floors to create an atmosphere suitable for work and family time. The family has lived in the house for 4 years and have tried not to change much in the house and instead try to make their own style work in the original house. They don’t change the furniture very often but like to mix the furniture in new ways.
High ceilings
The house used to be offices and when the family moved in together with other families it was all renovated so it is difficult to see the original room division but it now is perfect surroundings for a family. It has 5 meters to the ceiling in the living room. The decoration is a mix of 50ies furniture and lamps, a bit of antiques and home made furniture all in combination with red and orange.
