The family has chosen to keep the original floor plan, the brown tiles in the kitchen and the hall, many of the floors but otherwise they had to change a lot in the house when they moved in. A lot of the colors and materials are repeated in several rooms in the house to make it all come together. They want the furniture to match the house.
Flair for colors
Very quickly you become aware that a person with an exceptional good sense of color live here. The colors are beautifully matched from cool greys to light mocca. It connects the rooms and furniture and the many collections of china you find in the house. In the basement of the house Birgitte has her studio.

The couple was just about to break down during the renovation of the house. They were expecting it to take 3-4 months but after 12 months they were still staying over night at friends’ houses. ”We have done everything by ourselves and with the help of our parents but it was a big mouthful and if we had known hope much work it was we would never have done it”, Mille explains. The result is excellent and the décor draws the mind to Hollywood movie studios and sets from the past century.
